FAQs

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accommodate additional colleagues working from the London office on the day due to capacity. Please plan your journey so that you travel directly to the Gillian Lynne Theatre, where doors will open from 1.15pm.

The business will cover the cost of your travel to and from The Main Event, so you won’t be expected to cover this personally. If your usual place of work is the Met, you will be expected to cover your travel as per a normal working day.

You can book your journey through the CTM portal, available via your My Apps dashboard.

We’d encourage you to book as early as you can to secure the best fares and choose the most practical and cost-effective journey for you.

Reasonable travel costs to attend The Main Event will be covered by the business in line with our usual travel and expenses policy.

As per our policy, individual lunches and/or lunches with colleagues cannot be claimed.

However, we encourage everyone to take this opportunity to meet with clients and to bring along AY colleagues. Client lunches can be expensed as per our policy.

The travel and expenses policy can be found here.

As the event starts at 2pm, we won't be providing lunch. Light nibbles and refreshments will be provided post event, with networking and drinks from 4.00pm.

We’ve deliberately planned the event to start at 2.00pm, with doors opening at 1.15pm, to allow most colleagues to travel to and from London on the same day.

We recognise that for some colleagues travelling from further afield, same-day travel may not be practical. In these circumstances, overnight accommodation may be available. Please speak to your line manager before making any bookings as any expenses will be charged to your home cost centre.

No, attendance isn’t mandatory, but we would really encourage colleagues to join us if they can. This is an important moment for our UK business and a valuable opportunity to come together in one place, hear about our vision and ambitions for the next three years, hear directly from our clients and understand the part we can all play in what comes next.

We recognise that our clients and operational requirements also need to be supported throughout the day, so teams should plan ahead to make sure appropriate arrangements are in place.

Yes, please speak with your line manager before registering. We need to make sure we continue to support our clients and operational requirements throughout the day, so teams should plan ahead and make sure appropriate cover is in place.

We understand that not everyone will be able to join us due to client, operational or personal commitments. If you’re unable to attend, please let us know here.

We will be providing a recording of the event, as well as post-event communications, to ensure everyone is informed.

Doors will open at 1.15pm, giving you plenty of time to arrive and get settled before The Main Event begins promptly at 2.00pm. The main event will finish at approximately 4.00pm, followed by networking and drinks.

We’d really encourage everyone attending to join us for the full event. The Main Event will begin promptly at 2.00pm, so please plan to arrive from 1.15pm to give yourself plenty of time to check in and take your seat. We understand that occasionally travel or other commitments may affect your plans.

Don’t worry if unexpected travel disruption affects your journey. Please make your way to the theatre when you can. We recommend checking your journey before setting off and allowing some additional time for travel.

The Main Event will take place at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London. Full address, directions and travel information are available here.

Please make your way to the main entrance of the Gillian Lynne Theatre. Our event team will be there to welcome you, check you in and direct you into the auditorium.

Yes. Please register your attendance using the registration link on the microsite. This will help us plan for attendee numbers, catering and any individual requirements.

Please register by Friday 16th October so we can confirm final numbers with the venue and make sure we have everything in place for the day. We’d encourage you to register as soon as you know you can attend.

We understand that plans can change. If you’ve registered and are no longer able to join us, please let us know as soon as possible so we can keep our attendee numbers and catering requirements up to date.

You’ll be able to tell us about any dietary or accessibility requirements when you register. If there is anything else we need to be aware of to support your attendance and make your experience as comfortable as possible, please let us know.

Yes, we’d like you to make every effort to stay for networking and drinks. This is an important moment for our business, and in order to make the most of it we’d like everyone to catch up and connect with colleagues from across the UK.

There is no formal dress code. Please wear what you would normally feel comfortable wearing for a day with colleagues.

The venue won’t have dedicated working facilities, so we’d recommend leaving your laptop at home or in the office unless you specifically need it for your journey.

There is a very small cloakroom, which will be filled on a first come first serve basis. As we’re expecting a large number of colleagues to attend, we’d recommend travelling light where possible.

If you’re on annual leave on 2 November, there is no expectation for you to attend. If you would like to join us, please speak to your line manager about your arrangements before registering.

Yes it will be recorded and will be made available to colleagues who cannot attend.

If you have a question about The Main Event that isn’t covered in these FAQs, please contact Kate Inskip and the team will be happy to help.
