Our sectors
Leisure is perhaps the most diverse of all the real estate sectors, with many sub-sectors. Our experience is extensive and covers many of these, providing us with a unique position in the market and an outstanding knowledge base.
Pubs and licensed property
In the UK our licensed leisure team specialises in the hospitality market tracing our lineage back to Humberts Leisure.
We have advised on the purchase and sale of countless pubs, restaurants and hotels and have undertaken valuations on all asset classes for various purposes including secured lending for quoted markets/regulatory purposes, matrimonial and IHT purposes amongst others.
We offer a personally tailored approach to agency and we are on all of the valuation panels of the lenders active within the sector.
We prepare planning applications to help pubs extend or diversify their offer into restaurants and accommodation and prepare viability reports to justify permission for such applications or to support applications for enabling development or conversion to residential use.
Commercial leases cover a vast range of leisure property and are drafted in many different forms. Our approach is simple: whether you’re an owner or occupier, at each lease event we do everything possible to create and add value for you.

This is perhaps one of the most diverse sectors of leisure covering a vast range of activities that is constantly expanding, contracting, merging and evolving to keep pace with fast changing tastes, fashion, consumer demand and discretionary spending habit. It includes a myriad of sub-markets including:-
Cinemas, Casinos, Tenpin Bowling, Bingo, Family Entertainment Centres & Adult Gaming Centres (FEC’s and AGC’s), Destination and mixed-use retail/leisure complexes and Nightclubs.
Our planning and consulting team provides need assessments, and expert witness, to consider the need in planning policy terms to retain out-dated versions of these facilities to support planning applications for alternative development.
Broadly sitting under the leisure umbrella, conferencing encompasses a range of property from smaller more intimate facilities, to multi-functional internationally renowned venues within the UK. We have been advising on this sector for the last 30 years, and are firmly established as one of the ‘go-to’ advisors on conference and exhibition centres, providing specialist valuation, agency, planning and consultancy expertise.
