WHY USE A FRAMEWORK?
Public sector framework agreements help clients to streamline the procurement process and provide a PCR2015 or Procurement Act compliant route to market (regulations that outline how public sector bodies should buy goods, services, and works). They typically include a description of the services required, a list of pre-qualified suppliers, and standardised contract terms.
Individual projects are then awarded through "call-off" contracts, which are separate agreements based on the framework's terms. These call-off contracts can be direct awards or further competitions among the framework suppliers.
Framework agreements can lead to cost savings, reduced procurement time, and access to specialized expertise. They also help ensure compliance with public sector regulations and promote efficiency in estate management.
